This “weight creep” happens when you gain a little bit of weight over time without noticing. Complacency can set in, and before you know it, you’ve gained a large amount. And, as most people can tell you, it is a lot more difficult to take off 20+ pounds than a few extra pounds. By regularly checking your weight you stay aware and make adjustments before it’s too late.

Being overweight or obese increases the risk of serious health issues like heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Plus, almost no one looks better overweight. Remember, it’s easier to maintain your weight than to lose it later.
