Stop and Smell the Roses: An Excellent View on Life

Adopting the simple act of stopping to smell the roses provides a number of benefits.  Or as Jordan Peterson puts it, “pet a cat when you encounter one on the street”. Indeed, this act encourages mindfulness, allowing you to pause and appreciate the present moment.  In addition, it reduces stress and anxiety by allowing you to forget about life’s difficulties. Finally, if you stop and smell the roses you will find you have more gratitude and a deeper connection with life and nature around you.
